I recently received some American Flash Fish. My intention was to put them in one of the stock tanks I've got behind the house. They arrived and really looked good. I put them into my 300 gallon stock tank, and they promptly disappeared. It's been cold, so hopefully, once the temps start to rise, I'll see them again. This is an experiment to see if they eat the algae that grows in those outdoor tanks.
I never saw these fish after I put them in the stock tank. Then when I was thinking of closing the stock tank for the winter, I saw one baby. I put a trap out in the tank, and ended up removing about 40 fish before it got too cold. Can't tell if they helped the algae, but they must have found something to eat out there. Denny
